The Title/Billing Clerk processes car deals, verifies costs, and prepares legal transfer of documents for the DMV.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare tax and title documents.
- Works with local and out of state revenue DMV offices to facilitate titling.
- Input Inventory and prepare stock deal jackets.
- Receive and process paperwork from the F&I department.
- Prepare purchase checks for wholesale and auction units if needed.
- Post vehicle sales and purchases.
- Prepare trade-in vehicle jackets.
- Ensure that name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure title and registration paperwork is sent to customers in a timely fashion.
- File liens on contracted vehicles in a timely manner.

Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, & RegistrationCurrent, valid, driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
