DYAD Elective Physical Education Consultant
Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving network of charter schools. The Westlawn Elementary campus in Texarkana, TX is seeking a DYAD Physical Education Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
Position SummaryThe DYAD program connects classroom learning with community‑based expertise. The consultant will design and deliver experiential physical education experiences that build confidence, teamwork, discipline, coordination, sportsmanship, and habits of success through movement, fitness, and age‑appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in physical education.
- Develop and provide curriculum aligned to the elective taught.
- Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects expertise and DYAD expectations.
- Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
- Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
- Ensure students participate in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences.
- Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
- Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
- Use expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences.
- Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
- Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate students’ accomplishments through showcases, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement‑based instruction.
- Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
- Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning.
- Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.
- At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
This hourly position is paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
