• Teach assigned courses (15 credit hours per semester or 30 credit hours per academic year)
• Work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines
• Contribute to curriculum and course development
• Serve on department, college, and university committees as assigned by the Chair or Dean
• Serve on professional committees as approved by the Dean

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Master’s degree in Physics or closely related field with at least 18 semester credit hours in physics at the graduate level
• Ability to teach various courses within the Physics program
• Passion and patience for teaching foundational skills in physics to students
• Evidence of excellence in teaching
• Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills

• Ph.D. in Physics or closely related field
• Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience at the college level
• Online teaching experience at an accredited college or university
• Experience teaching upper‑ or lower‑division physics courses utilizing current supporting technology at the university level
• Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g., SACSCOC, ABET, etc.) and assessment, including data collection, organization, and analysis
• Research interest and efforts would be viewed favorably
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with university and professional service activities, including national and international outreach and collaboration with industry and other academic institutions
• Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire
