Academic Success Coach

Position: Academic Success Coach I
* Assist the entire campus community with prospective student marketing and recruitment.

* Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Master's degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited institution and one year experience in academic advising, recruiting, coaching, degree planning, or career counseling.
* Demonstrated commitment to a student-centered philosophy.
* Proven knowledge of working with at-risk college students and creating appropriate interventions plans.
* Experience effectively advising and assisting higher education students, including first year students.
* Ability to work effectively with parents, students, faculty, and staff.
* Ability to plan, organize, and implement programs for student success.
* Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
* Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals using excellent interpersonal skills, listening skills, and communication skills, to convince, influence, and direct students, faculty, or staff.
* Three (3) years of experience working in education
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is dedicated to assisting others achieve their fullest potential.
* Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
* Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
