Position Overview

Adjunct Instructor – Mechanical or Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University—Texarkana, Department of CBET – Engineering. Faculty appointment, part‑time, per‑semester basis, primarily for Fall
2026, Spring
2027, and Summer
2027.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate courses:
    Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate‑level credit hours in that discipline, obtained from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Graduate courses:
    Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate‑level credit hours, obtained from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate Mechanical or Civil Engineering course(s) in one or more modalities: face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, hybrid, or online.
  • Courses may be 5‑, 8‑, 10‑, or 16‑week terms depending on semester.
  • Coordinate course administrative duties: grading, loading course content (assessments and lecture modules), meeting with students, submitting grades on time, meeting census and grade deadlines, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Compensation

$3,300 per undergraduate section taught with a master’s degree; $3,800 per campus undergraduate section taught with a PhD.
