ESL Student Support​/LPAC Clerk

PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to support the instructional needs of English language learners in an inclusive monolingual or bilingual dual immersion setting. This position will assist with implementing LPAC responsibilities for Bilingual and ESL program compliance and providing instructional support in grades Pre‑K-12, as assigned.

• Education/Certification:
• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of study in an accredited institution of higher education, preferred
• Valid Texas Paraprofessional educational certificate preferred
• Special Knowledge/

• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Ability to relate well with school personnel, parents, and the community
• Ability to keep well‑organized reliable records
• Calm and patient demeanor with staff, students and others
• Proficient in computer skills; MS Word, Excel, and e‑mail
• Experience:
• Two years of experience working with children – educational environment preferred

Paygrade: 205

Position Type: Full‑Time

Salary: $17.62 to $24.83 per hour
