Purpose:
Facilitate the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies while promoting student-centered decision-making. Coordinate and monitor the development, implementation, and progress of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support effective collaboration among staff, families, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree required
Valid Texas teaching certificate (preferred)
Special Education certificate (preferred)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Texas Education Code related to special education Strong understanding of ARD/IEP processes and compliance requirements Ability to interpret data and translate into instructional planning Effective communication and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to facilitate collaborative meetings and build consensus Proficiency with TEA systems (e.g., Frontline/Success Ed, PEIMS awareness preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of three years working with students with disabilities
Experience participating in ARD/IEP meetings required
Experience with compliance monitoring or instructional support preferred

Maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate district wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned. Frequent interaction with staff, students, and parents.
