Job Title
This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Primary PurposeProvide instruction and coach students to develop the skill and ability to excel in the sport assigned;
Responsible for contributing to the educational program as a whole and to the growth of each student.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in PE
- Must be certified in CPR, first aid and AED
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
- Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Experience:
- Four years experience as coach or participant in the sport assigned
