Position Overview
Assistant/Associate Professor of Engineering Management & Program Coordinator in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology (CBET) at TexasA&M University‑Texarkana.
Tenure‑track, inaugural faculty position to establish and grow the Master of Science in Engineering Management program. Beginning Fall
2026 or Spring
2027, pending external approvals.
- Teach graduate engineering management courses and selected interdisciplinary engineering courses.
- Conduct course assessments to evaluate and improve student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Advise students on academic and career matters and review admission applications.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Engage in outreach activities to promote the program and engage with the community.
- Participate in student recruitment efforts to attract and retain talented students.
- Oversee curriculum development and shape program policies as program coordinator.
- Ph.D. in Engineering Management or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering).
- Evidence of a strong record of active and impactful research appropriate to the rank.
- Experience teaching across multiple sub‑disciplines such as project management, operations management, systems engineering, sustainability engineering, and leadership in engineering.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. at the time of hire. No pre‑employment sponsorship.
- (Associate‑Professor rank only) At least five (5) years of service at the rank of Assistant Professor at an accredited institution.
- Minimum two (2) years of proven leadership and management experience in academic or industry settings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in program coordination, academic leadership roles, and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in outreach activities and secure research funding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
