Emergency Management Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties
* Report incidents to higher headquarters utilizing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
* Develop emergency plans during increase of force protection (FPCON) levels during and after hazardous situations.
* Implement emergency management plans related to emergency management programs.
* Conduct emergency tests and exercises to assess depot readiness.
* Monitor handling of classified information within the Plans and Operations Division. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
* This position is subject to Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel up to 10%, and may be subject to (TDY) on short notice CONUS.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster).
* The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
* Incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Qualifications Who May Apply:

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Preparing incident reports utilizing office automation programs. (2) Executing plans pertaining to Depot response during emergencies. (3) Collaborating with Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to integrate emergency procedures after hazardous situations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR

Education:

Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of
