* Coordinates and delivers athletic training services to assigned teams including prevention, recognition, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries; acute care and emergency response to athletic injuries; rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries; and health care administration for the student-athletes.
* Evaluates, treats and rehabilitates injuries of TAMUT athletes. Taping, bracing and preparation of student athletes for practice and games (events) of assigned sports.
* Provides attendance and supervision, for safety preventive and emergency care of student athletes, at practices and games (events) of assigned sports. Travel, as directed and required, with assigned teams.
* Charting and record keeping of student athlete injuries while utilizing current record keeping systems and protocols. Coordination and consultation with Physicians, and student athletes and medical facilities regarding health care.
* Assists in supervision of student athletic trainer apprenticeship education.
* Maintains required professional licenses and certifications.
* Assists in maintenance and supervision of athletic training room, equipment, and supply inventory.
* Assist with the operations of respective sports camps or clinics.
* Ensure NAIA/NCAA compliance

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
* One-year full-time experience or three years part-time, paid or voluntary experience as a student trainer.
* Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
* General knowledge of NAIA and NCAA rules.
* Knowledge of drug testing procedures.
* Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions
* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
* Medical & First Aid skills including joint taping and physical therapy skills.
* Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:  + Must be able to obtain State of Texas License to practice Athletic Training within six months.

* Master's degree from a CAATE-accredited athletic training education program.
* Licensed Athletic Trainer through the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers
* CPR Certification
* Automatic External Defibrillator Certification
* Ability to travel and work beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* This position is required to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA regulations, in accordance with system policy and further required to complete HIPAA training as a condition of employment within a reasonable timeframe after the individual’s employment and on an as-needed basis thereafter.
