Duties
Serve as principal advisor and consultant to the RRAD Commander and manages the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program for the Depot and tenant activities employing approximately 3,000 employees.
Develop and assure effective implementation and administration of plans of action for the EEO program.
Receive and process informal and formal complaints of discrimination with the exception of those involving the Equal Employment Manager, Deputy Commander or the Commander, which are referred to TACOM.
Select, designate, and provide continuous training to EEO Counselors.
Direct the development and evaluates the effectiveness of installation Special Emphasis Programs (SEP) to include Federal Women's Program, Black Employment Program, Hispanic Employment Program, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Program for Individuals with Disabilities, and Disabled Veterans Affirmative Action Program.
Represent the Depot in contacts with community elements interested in civil rights/equal opportunity, keeping them informed of plans of action and program achievements, soliciting their recommendations for program improvement and seeking their support for such activities as recruitment, out-placement and manpower development.
Plan work to be accomplished, interprets policy, procedures and establishes priorities.
