Job Summary

We’re looking for a full‑time Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Texarkana, Texas. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer leads manufacturing engineering activities for munitions production, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective processes. The role provides technical leadership in process design, tooling, continuous improvement, and production support while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The position supports engineering leadership and manages assigned projects through the full life cycle, leading project engineers to deliver results on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for energetics based on customer TDPs, including production line, equipment, and test setup, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product introductions, including scale‑up from development to full‑rate production.
  • Serve as the technical authority for manufacturing engineering issues related to munitions production.
  • Mentor and guide manufacturing engineers and technicians.
  • Perform cost estimating, payback evaluations, and cost impact analyses to support project and manufacturing decisions.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing techniques and methods (value stream mapping, time and motion studies, design of experiments) to improve production processes.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, cycle time, and cost.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for process deviations and nonconformances.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field – required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading execution of programs/projects in manufacturing – required.
  • 2+ years of experience with PLCs, vision systems, robotics, DOE, project management, ISO audit – preferred.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.
Compensation

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $104,480 – $156,720. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; final offer may vary based on experience and location.
