As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) you will participate in and direct the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. You will be responsible for ensuring that the highest quality services are delivered in a customer‑service‑friendly environment. Responsibilities- Maintain appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate staff staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders.
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Identify and secure equipment supplies.
- Direct and oversee subordinates.
- Participate in duty assignments.
- Organize and coordinate subordinates’ job tasks and time allotments.
- Oversee and monitor the function and activities of subordinate staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action, discipline, or training.
- Monitor infection control compliance.
- Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current, valid licensure as an LVN/LPN is required.
- Experience in long‑term healthcare is preferred.
- Management or supervisory experience is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
- Strong written and verbal skills are required.
