Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Acute Care Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting
. The LPN will work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care, monitor clinical conditions, and ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in an acute care environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Assist with assessments, procedures, and patient care activities.
  • Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN or physician.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Assist with wound care, IV-related care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures as permitted by state regulations and facility policy.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and patient-care protocols.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide patient and family education within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Promote patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety.
Requirements
  • Current and active LPN/LVN license in the applicable state.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
    .
  • Previous acute care/hospital experience preferred
    .
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Must meet all facility and MSP credentialing requirements.
  • Successful completion of required background screening and onboarding.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, or other acute care environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
