Registered Nurse – Cardiology

Role Overview:

This position involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating expertise in routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies and long-term goals. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members and continuously develops clinical skills.

• Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using proper protocols; monitor for side effects and efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients, families, and caregivers.

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates considered.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Required certifications include BLS; ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Completion of organizational orientation and annual competency validations.

Candidates must obtain specified certifications within designated time frames, with grace periods based on experience level. The role involves a full-time schedule of five 8-hour days.
