Parts Counter Sales

Job Summary

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We are looking for a Parts Counter Sales Representative in Texarkana, Texas. The position works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating on‑call duties after service hours. Responsibilities include communicating with customers in a positive, caring, and timely manner, enhancing customer relations, and accurately processing all parts transactions while demonstrating effective influencing and collaborative skills.

• Model, promote, reinforce, and reward consistent use of Holt’s Values‑Based Leadership tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with the company’s vision, values, and mission.
• Sell CAT parts to customers over the phone, via fax, e‑mail, or in person and serve as a point of contact for parts customers.
• Complete all parts transactions for internal and external customers accurately, timely, and supportively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in all sales programs sponsored by Holt and the dealership manufacturer that promote sales through incentives and meet or exceed specified objectives.
• Ensure product information systems remain current and new product information is updated.
• Assist customers by responding to after‑hour call‑out needs by being available for after‑hour calls on a rotating basis.
• Promote PCC orders, usage, Holt Hose Vans, and current dealer promotions.
• Maintain regular and punctual employee attendance.
• Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies, company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties assigned.

• Proficient with computers, with experience using a computerized parts management system highly desired.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.

• Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience required; parts store experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.

• Involves extended periods in a stationary position; occasional movement inside the office to access equipment and files.
• Requires the ability to exchange accurate information during frequent communication with others.
• Utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
• Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lb.

• Requires working at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
