Parts Counter Sales Representative

Holt CAT, the largest Caterpillar dealership in the United States, is hiring a Parts Counter Sales Representative in Texarkana, Texas. The position is full‑time, Monday through Friday 7 AM to 5 PM with rotating on‑call coverage after hours. The role requires communication with customers in a positive and timely manner to enhance customer relations while maintaining accurate and efficient processing of all parts transactions.

Paul Brister.

Daily expectations include:

• Demonstrate alignment with Holt’s Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources.
• Engage in ongoing self‑development.

• Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of Holt’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes.
• Sell CAT parts to customers over the phone, via fax, e‑mail, or in person, serving as the point of contact for parts customers.
• Complete all parts transactions for internal and external customers accurately, timely, and supportively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in all sales programs sponsored by Holt and the dealership manufacturer that promote sales through incentives, meeting or exceeding specified objectives.
• Ensure that product information systems are kept current and that new product information is updated.
• Assist customers by responding to after‑hour call‑out needs, being available for after‑hour calls on a rotating basis.
• Promote PCC orders, usage, Holt Hose Vans, and current dealer promotions.
• Maintain regular and punctual employee attendance.
• Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies and company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties assigned.

• Proficiency with computers; experience with a computerized parts management system highly desired.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required; parts store experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel:

• None.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods in a stationary position; occasional movement inside the office to access equipment and files.
• Requires accurate communication of information.
• Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
• Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Professional office environment.
• Fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
