Position: Director of Emergency Services with Security Clearance
Duties
* Serve as Director of Emergency Services at Red River Army Depot within the Army Material Command (AMC).
* Provide emergency services to a large military installation, that includes maintenance, multimillion dollar construction and environmental programs, garrison/base operations and tenant activities.
* Develop, coordinate, and implement programs, policies, regulations, and procedures and serves as technical advisor to the Depot Commander and other management officials on all fire, law enforcement and emergency medical services matters.
* Serve as the Depot Provost Marshal.
* Represent the depot for law enforcement and fire protection/prevention law enforcement matters to the surrounding civilian communities to include the local, county and state police, Office of Emergency Management, and fire departments.
* Serve as the interim security clearance granting authority for the depot. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
* This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
* This position requires a successfully completion of the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months in the position.
* The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
* This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
* The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
* In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
* In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential
* systems subsequent to mobilization or an evacuation order.
* This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster)
* the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
* This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic
* violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition. (False or fraudulent information provided by candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment per 18 U.S.C. Section 1001).
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. Qualifications Who May Apply:
