Essential Responsibilities
Ability to set up, adjust, adapt, maintain and use hand and power tools of the trade. Ability to use shop math and read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to determine dimensions and materials required. Ability to operate and have operators license for vehicles up to 1-1/2 ton capacity. Skill in utilizing the accepted trade techniques and methods of painting duties.
Performs maintenance and finish carpentry and millwork necessary in new construction, modification, maintenance and/or repair of buildings, structures and/or items, with complete responsibility for attention to and completion of all details of a project. As an individual worker or member of a crew, performs and occasionally directs the work of lower graded employees, in the performance of carpentry and related adjunct duties.
Perform, layout and clean up demolition projects as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental DemandsWork is performed in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated and ventilated, is exposed to disagreeable fumes. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions;
high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock.

Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Masonry experience preferred.
- One (1) year certificate from an accredited college or university or five (5) years or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to write routing reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply basic math to estimate square footage, square yards, cubic foot/yards, linear or board feet, and quality of items needed to accomplish job.
