Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment for a healthcare client. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function and focuses on providing preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and responding to emergency service calls across multiple facilities.
The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an occasional weekend rotation approximately every two months. A valid driver's license is required as local travel between facilities is part of the role. Candidates with general maintenance experience, including locks and door hardware maintenance, are highly preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient facility operations are essential for success in this position.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
