School Bus Driver – Paid CDL Training
Immediately hiring School Bus Drivers in Mount Pleasant, TX! Paid CDL training, flexible hours, no nights or weekends, and a chance to make a difference every day.
Location: Durham School Services, 2230 N. Edwards Ave, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455
Compensation and Schedule- Pay: $21 per hour
- Hiring Bonus: $1,500 for non‑CDL drivers; $2,500 for fully credentialed drivers
- Guaranteed
Hours:
4 hours per day / 20 hours per week (part‑time and seasonal only) - Flexible part‑time schedule with split shifts (morning & afternoon)
- No nights, weekends, or holidays – perfect work‑life balance

- Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes
- Transport students to and from school, sports, and events
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe bus environment
- Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff
- Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not needed to start)
- At least 3 years of driver’s license experience (5 years if applying in Tennessee)
- Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee). Must be able to provide DOT employment verification if applied as a DOT‑regulated driver in the past 3 years
- Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
- Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use)
- Reliable attendance and a safety‑first attitude
- Must possess or be able to obtain all required state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles
- Must meet physical and medical requirements, pass substance abuse screening, and be subject to random screening under company policy
- Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training
- Must practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by using safe driving and work habits
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract‑specific driver requirements
