School Bus Driver – Paid CDL Training

Immediately hiring School Bus Drivers in Mount Pleasant, TX! Paid CDL training, flexible hours, no nights or weekends, and a chance to make a difference every day.

Location: Durham School Services, 2230 N. Edwards Ave, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455

Compensation and Schedule
  • Pay: $21 per hour
  • Hiring Bonus: $1,500 for non‑CDL drivers; $2,500 for fully credentialed drivers
  • Guaranteed

    Hours:

    4 hours per day / 20 hours per week (part‑time and seasonal only)
  • Flexible part‑time schedule with split shifts (morning & afternoon)
  • No nights, weekends, or holidays – perfect work‑life balance

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes
  • Transport students to and from school, sports, and events
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a clean and safe bus environment
  • Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff
  • Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not needed to start)
  • At least 3 years of driver’s license experience (5 years if applying in Tennessee)
  • Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee). Must be able to provide DOT employment verification if applied as a DOT‑regulated driver in the past 3 years
  • Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use)
  • Reliable attendance and a safety‑first attitude
  • Must possess or be able to obtain all required state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles
  • Must meet physical and medical requirements, pass substance abuse screening, and be subject to random screening under company policy
  • Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training
  • Must practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by using safe driving and work habits
  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract‑specific driver requirements
