Class Summary Provides a variety of routine accounting office support to various College offices. May perform general office support duties including data entry, refunding, and invoicing as assigned.

High school diploma required: 1-2 years of office experience including direct experience with accounting and bookkeeping required.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience Associate’s degree: accounts receivable experience with a governmental entity or community college preferred.

  • Process all student billing with accuracy.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits
  • Process state tuition exemptions/waivers in a timely fashion.
  • Assess Collegiate High School/dual credit student registration for accuracy.
  • Process all contract and third-party sponsorship billing, payment, and reconciliation.
  • Process and disburse refunds for tuition and fees, and financial aid in accordance with the college policy, state and federal regulations.
  • Assist students and/or cashiers that are working with students to resolve problems and/or provide explanations for their tuition and fee billing statements.
  • Execute tasks for student online payment plan maintenance on an as needed/backup basis.
  • Work closely with Assistant Controller to ensure unpaid invoices are collected in a timely fashion.
  • Respond to AR emails, voicemails, and phones calls.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
    • No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
    • * Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

    Minimum Salary Range $21.90 per hour

    Mid Point Salary Range $21.90 per hour
