The Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator is assigned a range of administrative, coordinating, and teaching responsibilities to assist the Program Director in the fulfillment of the goals and outcomes of the program.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
- Three years’ clinical experience in professional discipline.
- One year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program (or will attain this qualification within twelve (12) months of employment).
- Current unencumbered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
- Current unencumbered Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist license.
- Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Advanced Modality certification.
- Three years as a full‑time instructor in a JRCERT accredited program.
- Communicate effectively in written and oral communication.
- Knowledgeable in instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
- Detailed knowledge of material in the specific course and program area, radiographic positioning, anatomy, and use of various types of imaging equipment.
- Principles and practices of teaching.
- Knowledge of student engagement techniques.
- Leadership skills in a professional education setting.
- Prepare and maintain course outlines and objectives.
- Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction and evaluation, as appropriate.
- Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
- Provide class content relevant to course outlines and curriculum in compliance with college policies.
- Maintain required student advisement hours and provide student advising.
- Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
- Be available to address any issue that may arise while students are in the clinical facility.
- Correlate and coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Teach face‑to‑face, online, and Hybrid courses as assigned.
- Promote COM and the Radiologic Technology program through recruitment activities.
- Promote retention and persistence by assisting students to develop strategies for success.
- Attend and participate in the program and institutional committees and meetings.
- Support the program director to ensure effective program operations.
- Participate in the accreditation and assessment processes.
- Maintain all documentation systems utilized for student tracking.
