Class Summary
- At College of the Mainland (COM), education changes lives and creates opportunity. The Continuing Education (CE) Enrollment Coach plays a key role in helping individuals take that first step toward a new career, a new credential or a new future. Through personalized guidance, encouragement and clear information, the coach helps prospective students move confidently from interest to exploration to registration.
In this role, the CE Enrollment Coach serves as the primary point of contact for individuals exploring continuing education and workforce training programs. The coach supports students from first connection through registration and the start of class, helping them identify the right program based on their career and educational goals.
While this position is focused on noncredit and workforce programs, the Enrollment Coach works closely with credit enrollment coaches to ensure students understand the full range of opportunities at the College and can transition smoothly between noncredit and credit pathways when appropriate. This role is central to creating a welcoming, supportive and coordinated enrollment experience for every student.

Minimum Education /Training/Experience
- Education:
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
- Experience working in a community college continuing education or workforce training environment. Experience supporting students through registration or enrollment processes. Experience using a client relationship management (CRM) or student information system (SIS). Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of college programs workforce pathways and student services. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse student populations. Ability to guide students through program options and enrollment processes. Strong organizational follow-up and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. Ability to use CRM systems and digital communication tools. Ability to manage multiple students and priorities during high-volume periods
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with continuing education and workforce training programs. Knowledge of noncredit and credit pathway alignment. Experience supporting financial assistance processes including the Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) or workforce funding. Experience in enrollment coaching case management or student navigation models. Ability to use data to support enrollment and student success efforts

Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals exploring continuing education and workforce training programs. Assist prospective students with understanding program options and identifying the best starting point based on their career and education goals. Explain how noncredit programs connect to credit pathways credentials of value and long-term opportunities. Provide enrollment coaching through phone, email, text, chat, and/or in-person communication.
Guide students through the continuing education registration process from inquiry through the first day of class. Assist students with completing required paperwork for programs that have additional enrollment steps such as health care or industrial programs. Provide basic guidance on FAFSA completion for the purpose of determining eligibility for Texas Public Education Grant and other approved workforce funding sources. Ensure students understand program schedules, requirements, costs and next steps for successful enrollment.
Coordinate with credit enrollment coaches to remain informed about academic programs admissions processes and pathway options across the College.
