Position Title
Adjunct position for the didactic setting and/or clinical rotations teaching Certified Nursing Assistant Course.

- Vocational Nurse with Texas Licensure;
One (1) year of long term care / skilled nursing facility clinical practice experience in a medical setting. - Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing with Texas Licensure.
- Teaching experience.
- Principles and practices of teaching.
- Training techniques.
- Detailed knowledge of material being taught in the specific course and program area.
- Knowledge of student engagement techniques.
- Record‑keeping procedures.
- Communication and interpersonal skills applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Ability to conduct formal classes in all nursing subject areas.
- Ability to provide supervision to students during clinical practicums.
- Ability to adapt instructional content to meet learning needs of students from varied educational and cultural backgrounds.
Responsible for providing instruction within the CNA program. Teach approved curriculum and coursework. Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation. Participate in student orientation, instruction, and advisement activities as assigned.
Licensing/Certification Requirements- Current and unencumbered Texas VN or RN licensure.
- Clear drug screen and background check.
- Proof of immunizations and clinical readiness documentation.
High physical demand. Must be able to stoop, bend, lift, and assist in patient care/clinical teaching situations. Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends when assigned.
