Nurse Educator
Nursing adjunct position for the didactic setting and/or clinical rotations teaching vocational and/or ADN students.

Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Nursing with Texas Licensure
- Three (3) years of recent relevant clinical practice experience in a medical setting

Preferred Education/Training/
Experience:
- Two years experience in a higher education setting as Nursing Adjunct or Nursing Professor.
- Principles and practices of teaching; training techniques; detailed knowledge of material taught in the specific course and program area; knowledge of student engagement techniques; record keeping procedures; communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and receive work direction.
- Ability to conduct formal classes in all nursing subject areas.
- Ability to provide supervision to students during clinical practicums.
- Ability to adapt instructional content to meet learning needs of students from varied educational and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Knowledge &
Skills:
- Recent experience commensurate with curriculum.
Job Duties:
- Provide instruction within the vocational and/or ADN program(s).
- Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation.
- Participate in student orientation and adjunct orientation.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
- Current and Unencumbered Texas RN or Texas multistate licensure.
- Clear Drug Screen.
- Clear Background check.
- Proof of immunizations and clinical readiness documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- High physical demand. Must be able to stoop, bend, lift, and assist in patient care/clinical teaching situations, or demonstrate ability to perform tasks successfully.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases through patient care clinical experience.
- Must be able to work evenings and/or nights, and/or weekends when assigned.
