Use of computers and related software application programs;
Interviewing and advising;
Interpreting college catalogs, course requirements and program parameters;
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Job Duties- Knowledge of secondary education setting;
Foundation Graduation Plan; and Pathways; assess student’s stage of development and promote student growth by assisting student in establishing academic and career goals. - Advise students on academic and career issues: identify educational and career options appropriate for each student and assist with the analysis of each option. Set up an action plan for student to explore alternative careers and related majors.
- Identify options for student to satisfy degree requirements; evaluate and make recommendations on amendments/changes to student’s program of study; assist student in completion.
- Monitor academic progress of students; determine eligibility and satisfactory progress towards degree; identify current and potential needs or problem areas; refer student to appropriate campus resources for assistance.
- Interpret and explain College policies and procedures.
- Assist students with admission and registration; provide guidance in course selection in keeping with student’s career path.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Positions in this class typically require stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Minimum Salary Range: $20.80 per hour
