Analyzer Technicians are expected to apply expertise daily to ensure the safe and reliable operation of site process plants and reduce operating costs.
What you will do:- Commit to learning, following, and practicing the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety, as well as Life‑Saving rules, daily.
- Ensure the permitting process creates a safe work environment through proper risk assessments.
- Participate as needed in incident investigations, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis/LOPA.
- Support integrity management by completing assigned Preventative Maintenance and ensuring proper follow‑through on reliability concerns.
- Provide technical expertise to assist supervision and operations in troubleshooting, configuring, and rebuilding process analyzers—including chromatographs, regulatory analyzers monitoring emissions, and apparatus designed to determine chemical or elemental component amounts in a process stream—and record data associated with periodic testing.
- Reviewing assigned job scopes for completeness and understanding.
- Acquiring all necessary parts, tools, and instructions prior to starting the job to maximize work efficiency.
- Following all necessary safety procedures and practices to isolate, clear, and work on plant equipment.
- Ensuring work is completed per company and industry standards.
- Working with equipment owners to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience working with industrial process analyzers in the petrochemical or refining industry.
- Prefer Associates Degree in an applicable field or Analyzer Certificate.
- Ability to diagnose the cause of malfunction or failure of process analyzers and perform the necessary preventive or corrective maintenance.
- Ability to read P&’s, specification sheets, and loop sheets.
- Highly preferred working knowledge with equipment such as Siemens Maxum‑II GC, Applied Automation GC, Horiba CEMS analyzers, safe handling of gas cylinders for CEMS and carrier gas systems, and experience with O₂ meters, pH meters, and unit gas detectors.
- Prefer working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office computer programs.
- Read and understand instructions of a technical nature reflecting the requirements of the job.
