About this role

Senior Environmental Specialist located in Texas City, TX. The role is seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027, at which point it becomes directly aligned to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement global EH&S management systems (work processes, standards, procedures).
  • Ensure that the environmental aspects of Operating Discipline are adequate and applied to achieve environmental performance goals.
  • Work closely with facilities to implement needed Operating Discipline to ensure ongoing sustainable compliance with existing and new permit and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the focal point for a business/plant for Environmental issues.
  • Participate in and provide data for Environmental audits, internal and external.
  • Coordinate and optimize Environmental programs across the site or within specific facilities and businesses.
  • Conduct and document investigations of environmental incidents and ensure follow‑up actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Perform Requirements Management Work Process (RMWP) roles as needed for site‑specific issues.
  • Collect, input and calculate Environmental reporting information.
  • Prepare periodic Environmental reports (MACT, TitleV).
  • Work with the Environmental Expertise Groups to obtain clear interpretations of site‑specific regulatory processes, regulations, laws and associated procedures.
  • Ensure Environmental Compliance tasks are completed.
  • Provide data and other information to air permit writers to prepare Permit by Rules or Permit Amendment applications for emission or operational changes.
  • Conduct or be at least involved with environmental self‑assessments/audit privileges.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S.E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer2ndClass ranking.
  • A minimum of 3 years in EH&S, manufacturing or related experience.
  • Legal ability to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
Physical Demands
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a respirator.
  • Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting, including occasional lifting of material weighing approximately 50lbs.
  • Work in tight or closed‑in spaces.
  • Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground.
  • Stand 50% of the time.
  • Walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
  • Work in an area with hazardous materials.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.

    Ability to navigate and interpret regulatory compliance and perform the Auditor role.
