Assistant Controller / Site Accountant – Chemical Manufacturing

INEOS Acetyls is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller / Site Accountant to serve as a key financial partner for our Texas City manufacturing site. This role offers broad exposure to accounting, financial planning, cost management, operations support, and strategic decision‑making within a world‑class chemical manufacturing environment.

- Lead site accounting activities including monthly close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS and GAAP
- Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, production performance, and operating expenses
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to improve business performance and drive cost optimization
- Monitor site financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Support capital project evaluations, financial modeling, and investment analysis
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial controls
- Prepare and present financial reports, business analysis, and performance metrics to site leadership
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong compliance and control processes
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance financial visibility across the site
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, refining, or industrial experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization
The successful candidate will become a trusted business partner to site leadership, helping drive financial performance, improve decision‑making, strengthen controls, and support the continued success of the Texas City manufacturing operation.
