Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Manager in Infection Prevention for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
- As the Infection Control Manager (ICM), you will develop and oversee the hospitals infection control program.
- You will survey activities, investigate any potential outbreaks, hospital and medical staff education, as well as ongoing data analysis and trending.
- You will collaborate with the Chairperson of the Infection Control Committee to establish the agenda, provide data/data analysis and Infection Control updates as well as maintain minutes of committee activity.
- You will play a role in eliminating health and safety risk factors in a systematic and cost effective manner.
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to infection control including the TJC standards, OSHA, Conditions of Participation, etc.
- You will manage department staff to perform program functions.
What qualification you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field is required.
- If a nurse, Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Preferred Board Certification in Infection Control or degree in Public Health
- 3 years Infection Control experience required
- 2 years Management experience required
- Certification in Infection Control required or within 12 months of hire.
