Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to work as a business liaison during an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) project. This role will drive the definition and documentations of use cases, operations processes and create additional operations documentation in support of business goals and decision-making processes related to the EDW. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements, support the design of data solutions, document and deliver efficient, repeatable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Requirements Gathering:
  Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Snowflake data models and queries.
• Data Modeling and Design:
  Document and maintain use case models and schemas to support business analytics and reporting using the EDW. Ensure that processes are optimized for performance, repeatability and scalability.
• Data Governance and Compliance:
  Assist with data governance policies and ensure data quality and security. Ensure compliance with relevant data regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Collaboration and Communication:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts. Communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Stay up-to-date with Snowflake best practices and new features. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Data Science).
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on Snowflake data warehousing.
• Proficiency in Snowflake-specific SQL and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Experience in Public Sector and/or Municipal Government is desired.
