The qualified individual will provide multimedia support for instruction and the community at College of the Mainland and its satellite locations through knowledge and skill in audio, video, and instructional technology.

Education & ExperienceRequired:
Bachelor of Science in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 3 years of related work experience.
- Preferred:
Master’s degree in a related field. - 5 years of work experience in media services or instructional design.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Supervisory experience.
- PC Certifications.
- High level of customer service with good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to create training material and provide effective training to end users.
- Ability to interact with diverse individuals or groups.
- Knowledge of electronic principles for audio, video, and instructional technology.
- Knowledge of software applications for audio, video, and presentations.
- General knowledge of IT devices, including Android, Mac, Windows 10, and basic office applications.
- Strong computer, analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of basic office procedures (filing, sorting, shelving, inventory).
- Can work alone and under pressure.
- Learning Management Systems (e.g., D2L Brightspace).
- Social media posting and management (You Tube, Twitter, Facebook).
- Streaming media solutions for education.
- Legacy classroom technology.
- Provide problem resolution for classroom technology for faculty.
- Aid in resolving minor computer issues through assistance or referral.
- Prepare teaching auditoriums for classes and other presentations, and schedule use of instructional resources.
- Monitor incoming requests, prioritize, establish work schedules, and direct Media Support Technician.
- Provide training to users and develop related materials.
- Provide video and audio recording services, duplication, and reformatting of media.
- Support campus and community public activities with sound systems, podiums, cameras, and presentation equipment.
- Research and recommend technology updates to the Director; maintain strong relations with IT staff.
- Work with vendors to order, receive, and install classroom technology.
- Availability for some evening and weekend shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reaching, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; pushing, pulling, grasping, standing, talking, hearing, and seeing as required.
