At INEOS Acetyls, our people drive our success. We’re looking for an experienced Safety, Health, Environmental & Security Manager to serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team and lead the SHE function at our complex chemical manufacturing facility in Texas City.
This is not simply a regulatory compliance role. You will shape the site’s SHE strategy, strengthen its safety culture, manage major operational risks, and provide the leadership needed to protect employees, contractors, site assets, and the environment.

- Lead the site SHE function and serve as a trusted advisor to the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team
- Develop and execute the site-wide SHE strategy in alignment with operational objectives and INEOS Group expectations
- Champion the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety and Life-Saving Rules
- Lead Process Safety Management and Risk Management Programs, including MOC, PSI, PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, mechanical integrity, and safe work systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, US Coast Guard, and all applicable regulatory and permit requirements
- Oversee environmental programs covering air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, permitting, monitoring, and regulatory reporting
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, audits, compliance reviews, and sustainable corrective-action closure
- Drive the prevention of serious injuries, fatalities, process safety events, and other high-consequence incidents
- Oversee occupational safety, industrial hygiene, PPE, OSHA recordkeeping, workforce training, and employee and contractor protection programs
- Lead emergency response planning, drills, responder capability development, Emergency Operations Center readiness, and coordination with local agencies
- Oversee site security programs, contractor security services, and applicable MTSA requirements
- Establish contractor safety expectations and ensure the safe execution of construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities
- Develop and manage the SHE operating and capital budgets while maintaining strong cost discipline
- Establish SHE KPIs, scorecards, audit programs, and performance systems that drive continuous improvement
- Lead, coach, and develop the SHE team while strengthening accountability, engagement, and succession planning
- Represent the site with regulatory agencies, emergency planning organizations, community groups, and industry associations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
- At least 10 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical manufacturing
- Significant leadership experience within a complex or high-hazard operating environment
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Program requirements
- Strong experience with MOC, PSI, PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, mechanical integrity, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis
