Position: CNC Machine Operator (1st Shift) in Texas City

Machine Operator

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 2nd shift (6:00 am – 3:00 pm)

Pay: Weekly

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Set‑up, process, and maintain CNC machines.
  • Process material into finished product at varying tolerances.
  • Operate machinery safely to ensure quality product.
  • Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections.
  • Load and unload product from the machinery for processing.
  • Assemble, rebuild, set‑up, maintain, and operate equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and hand tools.
  • Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
  • Report product discrepancies to management.
  • Perform all applicable SOPs, JSAs, and QAPs.
  • Actively communicate with teammates.
  • Operate forklifts to move material.
  • Perform other operations tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers, and management.
  • Work as part of a team and offer assistance when necessary.
  • Work occasional Saturday hours as required.
  • Operate in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Read dimensioned engineering drawings.
  • Read tape measure and calipers.
  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk up to 10 hours.
  • Twist, bend up to 10 hours.
  • Perform duties under pressure of deadlines.
  • Wear task‑appropriate personal protective equipment.
Education / Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 4 years of machining experience.
  • Mechanical/maintenance skills a plus.
  • Understanding of machining principles.
  • Understanding of CNC controls.
  • Understanding of manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in the machining industry.
