Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. We provide a broad product and service portfolio for industries such as power, automotive, construction, and electronics. This role is on the 1st shift and on-site in Texas City, TX.

Material Handler

• Material Handler Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
• Create and maintain a safe, organized working environment
• Assist in reviewing outgoing shipping documents and package products
• Assist in inspections of product orders for accuracy
• Assist in loading/unloading packages from trucks
• Report product discrepancies to management
• Actively communicate with teammates
• Operate forklifts to relocate material
• Other operations tasks as assigned

  Qualifications:
  
  
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by the position

• Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 am - 3:00 pm)
