We are hiring a Registered Nurse for our Float Pool to care for patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric units. The RN will be scheduled to work in various units as assigned.
Responsibilities- Plan and prioritize age- and specialty-appropriate care for each patient assigned, communicating relevant information to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Competently and accurately complete comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, taking nursing history assessments to identify nursing diagnoses and patient care needs.
- Evaluate patient/family responses to, and outcomes of, implemented care, and modify the plan of care accordingly.
- Implement and direct care using the nursing process, emphasizing the needs of individual patients.
- Promote, initiate, or coordinate interdisciplinary care provision in an open communication system with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and other individuals who influence patient progress.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school is required.
- BSN is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Multi-State Compact license (employees with an RN Compact license must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
- 1 year of RN floor nursing experience in an acute care setting is required.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 90 days of employment.
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
