Mental Health Nurse, RN Nurse
Registered Nurse responsible for managing a behavioral health clinic, delivering comprehensive nursing care, and supervising staff to maintain clinical standards and patient safety. Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive behavioral health nursing care to patients in a psychiatric setting.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Document patient progress, treatment interventions, and medications accurately in the EMR system.
Mentor and supervise nursing staff and direct reports to ensure compliance with clinical standards.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients with dual diagnoses or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN) from an accredited institution.
Valid Texas RN license.
CPR/BLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or dual diagnosis settings.
Minimum of 1 year of experience managing or supervising direct reports.
Ability to work independently and handle slow, lengthy orientation processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel to local counties if needed.
Skills:
SAMA certification (preferred)
