As a Security Officer Access Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $14.94 / Hour
Job Schedule: Mon 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM;
Thur 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM;
Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM.
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the facility.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to changing conditions common to an industrial environment.
- Support vehicle and pedestrian screening activities, manage visitor processing, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Possess a valid TSA issued TWIC.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
