At INEOS Acetyls, our people drive our success. We’re looking for an Instrument & Electrical Technician who thrives in a plant environment, takes ownership of equipment performance, and plays a critical role in maintaining safe and reliable operations at our Texas City site.

What you’ll be doing
  • Install, maintain, and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot motors, control systems, and field instrumentation
  • Perform calibrations, testing, and loop checks to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Work with DCS and PLC systems to support operations and resolve issues
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to support plant performance
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend improvements
  • Support new equipment installations, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS systems
  • Collaborate with operations to resolve asset issues and improve reliability
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
  • Associate degree in Instrumentation or related field preferred
  • Completion of a 5‑year apprenticeship program
  • 3+ years of experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation (digital, electronic, pneumatic)
  • Experience with motors, power distribution, and control circuits
  • Familiarity with smart transmitters and calibration tools
  • Ability to read schematics, loop drawings, and P&IDs
  • Experience with DCS (e.g., DeltaV) and PLC systems (e.g., Rockwell, Modicon)
  • TWIC card required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Knowledge of safety‑critical procedures (LOTO, confined space, hot work, working at heights)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
