Job SummarySupport the finance team by managing accounts receivable and payable, performing bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and assisting with month-end closing and audit finalization tasks.
Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accurate billing and timely payments
- Prepare and file tax returns, including GST filings, to comply with regulatory requirements
- Compile financial data and maintain accurate records for reporting and audit purposes
- Perform prepayment, accruals, and fixed assets accounting to support monthly and yearly account finalization
- Assist in preparing trial balances, financial statements
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and resolve discrepancies in bank statements
- Calculate and reconcile customer and supplier account balances to ensure accuracy
- Enter financial data promptly and retrieve reports from the accounting system to maintain up-to-date records
- Execute month-end closing activities to finalize accounting periods accurately
- Record and process all business transactions using double-entry accounting principles within the organization’s accounting system
- Participate in ad-hoc finance projects and systems testing as required to support continuous improvement
- Manage full set of accounts and utilize inhouse and Xero accounting software effectively (preferred)
- Experience managing a full set of accounts
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Xero and similar
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and accounting software such as Xero
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational and analytical skills
- Proactive, responsible and effective in problem-solving
- Good command of written and spoken English
