ABOUT
THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant - Operating Accounting is responsible for property accounting and preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports by compiling information, preparing and analyzing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. This position will also be responsible for applying General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to reviewing and approving capital asset additions, disposals, adjustments, depreciation, and allocations.
What You Will Do
Financial Close & Reporting
Lead month-end close activities for a property portfolio, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement reviews, and variance analysis to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Accounts & Lease Management
Review and approve accounts payable and assess accounts receivable for collectability. Review and approve lease abstracts, analyze new leases and amendments, and prepare tenant operating expense recovery calculations.
Audit Coordination & Special Projects
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, while supporting lender reporting requirements and contributing to special projects as needed.

Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
* 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Proven ability to use business and financial acumen, and translate into business solutions.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related products.
* Familiarity with, and eagerness to explore and integrate, emerging technologies (e.g., AI) to drive innovation and continuous learning.
