Automotive Controller​/Comptroller

We are actively seeking an experienced Automotive Controller (Comptroller) to lead the accounting and financial operations of our dealership.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an established Automotive Controller or a high-performing Assistant Controller who is ready to take the next step and assume full responsibility for dealership financial operations.

$80,000 - $150,000+ Per Year

Compensation will be based on experience, dealership background, leadership ability, and overall qualifications. Additional compensation and benefits package available for highly qualified candidates.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Manage all dealership accounting operations
• Oversee month-end and year-end closings
• Monitor cash flow and cash management processes
• Review schedules, reconciliations, and general ledger accounts
• Ensure manufacturer receivables, warranty accounts, rebates, and incentives are accurate and current
• Assist management with budgeting and forecasting
• Produce departmental financial reporting and performance analysis
• Coordinate audits, inventories, and CPA relationships
• Manage payroll tax filings, compliance reporting, and financial controls
• Supervise office and accounting personnel
• Maintain dealership profitability through strong financial oversight

• Previous automotive dealership accounting experience required
• Controller, Comptroller, Office Manager, or Assistant Controller experience preferred
• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and DOC reporting
• Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealer track, Tekion, etc.)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
