Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Cost Analyst for a year industrial construction project in Turkey, Texas. This position supports project cost management, forecasting, budgeting, labor analysis, change management, and financial reporting
. The Project Controls Cost Analyst will transform detailed project data into accurate, actionable information that helps project leadership understand current performance, anticipate future costs, and make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate has experience in project controls, cost control, cost analysis, project accounting, or construction financial management and understands how financial performance connects to field execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute weekly project cost reports for project leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly labor productivity, labor performance, and project progress reports.
  • Monitor costs associated with indirect labor, equipment rentals, subcontractors, materials, and other project expenditures.
  • Maintain accurate project budgets and cost information within project tracking systems.
  • Support project forecasting and identify potential budget variances, cost impacts, and emerging financial risks.
  • Assist with change management activities, including change orders, budget revisions, cost trends, and contingency tracking.
  • Participate in project cost reviews and support monthly forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Audit payroll coding, timekeeping information, and labor allocations for accuracy.
  • Validate project financial data, process cost corrections, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with procurement, accounting, payroll, billing, project management, and field teams to maintain accurate financial information.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project performance analysis.
  • Help project leadership identify the causes of cost, labor, and productivity variances.
  • Assist with project audits and progress reviews as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Current OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with project budgeting, cost reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, or project financial reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with detailed financial, labor, and project performance data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project leadership, field operations, accounting, procurement, payroll, and billing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project controls, cost control, cost management, project management, or change management.
  • Experience supporting EPC, industrial construction, energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or heavy construction projects.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, change orders, cost forecasting, budget management, labor productivity reporting, and project financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Location and Work Environment
