Candor places highly qualified special education professionals with school districts across Texas — and every one of those placements depends on people getting paid accurately and on time, and districts being billed and collected from without delay. As our roster of field-based providers grows, we need abookkeeperwho can own that engine: timecards reviewed and approved without errors, payroll run like clockwork, and accounts receivable thatdoesn'tlet cash sit on the table.

Candor Consulting and Diagnostics, LLC is an education staffing company built by educators. We connect school districts of all sizes with highly qualified, student-centered professionals — including special education diagnosticians, therapists, and other specialists — and support districts with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) programs and educational assessments and consulting. Our mission is making sure districts have access to the providers students deserve, even as demand for these services keeps growing.

Twelve months in, this person will have made payroll and timecard administrationa non-event—accurate, on time, every cycle — and will have tightened up our accounts receivableprocessso invoices go out promptly and aging balances get resolved quickly.

They'llbe the person

Operations and our field-based staff trust to get pay and billing right, without needing to be chased or reminded.

• Collect, review, and approve timecards from field-based staff placed with school districts, catching discrepancies before they reach payroll.
• Own full-cycle payroll processing for employees and contractors — tax with holdings, deductions, off-cycle adjustments, and new hire/termination changes.
• Manage accounts receivable end toend:generate and send district invoices, track aging, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile payroll and bank accounts monthly to keep the books clean and audit-ready.
• Maintainaccuratepayroll and billing records, andserve as the go-to contact for staffpayquestions.
• Partner with Operations on staffing changes — new placements, rate changes, terminations — that affect payroll and district billing.
• Support month-end close and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.

• 2–5 years of bookkeeping experience, including hands-on payroll processing.
• Experience managing timecards or timekeeping systems for hourly or field-based staff.
• Experience with accounts receivable and invoicing.
• Proficiency with Quick Books (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort handling confidential payroll and financial data.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet recurring payroll deadlines.

• Experience in a staffing, healthcare, or education services organization.
• Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll or 1099 contractor payments.

This role pays $45,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience.
