Primary

Purpose:

Assist in the maintenance student discipline, order, and safety in the cafeteria.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent personal and interpersonal skills

Ability to move actively through large numbers of people in a limited amount of space

Ability to act responsibly

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and skill in working with students.

* Develop, in cooperation with the building administrators, long and short range plans for management of students in the cafeteria setting.

* Perform duties according to guidelines established by TEA, Board policies and administrative regulations.

* Establish control in the cafeteria setting in accordance with Board policies and administrative regulations.

* Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

* Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.

* Ability to move throughout a cafeteria setting and to actively interact with students.

* Fingerprint Fee of $49.26 may be required prior to employment.

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Able to lift and move small items, chairs, and other classroom equipment.
