Purpose:
Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the front office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
- One year experience in office setting
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Greet and direct visitors to appropriate location.
- Assist public, staff and students as needed.
- Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes utilizing Raptor System.
- Check out visitors utilizing Raptor System.
- Assignments may include: print shop requests, updating cumulative folders, textbook check out/check in and preparation of emergency folders.
- Prepare mailings and labels using personal computer. Assist with mail outs.
- Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists.
- Complete VOE forms for students.
- Sort, distribute mail, messages, and other documents.
- Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
- Provide clerical assistance as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to work productively with frequent interruptions.
- Assist with student registration.
- Other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used: Personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine
Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions.
