Automotive Technician

We're assisting our local employer to hire an experienced automotive technician:

Perform automotive maintenance and repairs.

Assist technician mechanics in performing technical activities.

Diagnose and repair:

• Brake and hydraulic braking systems
• Exhaust and primary and/or advanced fuel ignition systems
• Electrical circuitry, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized neat and safe bay.
• ASE certifications are preferred for this position.
• A willingness to obtain additional certifications (i.e. L1 Master Tech) is preferred.
• Must be willing to obtain ASE

• You will also need a high level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver license is required to test drive vehicles.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of Mechanic Experience
• Minimum 5 years working as a technician
• Must be able to read, write and spell correctly in English.
• Ability to type 45 wpm

Pay - Pay determined upon skill and experience level. Will be discussed at interview.
