Overview

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our service centers in the Longview, TX area. Mavis operates over 2,000 retail locations and is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles, with a focus on undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.
• Preferred: state inspection license(s); ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements; ability to lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
